Ban the Nano and SUVs
by Prabhu on Jun 04, 2008 01:58 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Once the Nano enters the Indian market, our already choked roads are going to be further congested with the tiny cars. And what's the point in driving huge SUVs on Indian roads? All they do is consume space and burn more fuel.

Why to ban indian nano car if it more efficient (25km/ltr) and not to ban luxurys car like mercedes, skoda, honda, chevrolet which gives average in the range 5 to 15 km/ltr?

Look at the other side. If Nano can replace 50% of the vehicles on the road, how much fuel can be saved? As the fuel costs go through a change, driving habits will change automatically. Have you heard about Prius? People in US now boost of hitting more than 50 miles per gallon while the govt expects only 27?
