IT companies treat the revenue generators, software engineers like pigs. Even the people in departments like payroll and billing dictate terms to the software engineers. I think we should have unions in IT across the world.

I totally agree. There is a huge lack of respect for the main work doers in the IT industry i.e. Software Engineers. Something needs to be done so that we are given respect and credit.
