The only point i support is the statement raised by Mr Naik but with some changes... why cant a 10th or 12th fail student join IT sector coz even they r eligible for copy paste jobs or our engineers r of low caliber that they join such coolie sectors like IT, private banks,BPO then cry... when are we gonna manufacture ... we always crib about IT but we dont have any product in market... be it SAP,ORACLE,MICROSOFT etc... yes we do have wipro soap.... as most of US top notches r shiftin to china and makin them learn english, how much time india will sustain these IT jobs.... just a matter of time and once everythin will get shifted to china we may see havoc in india... anyways some automobile manufacturers have come to india and many other manufacturing sectors like food pharma FMCG will b soon seen in india...

yup, u make a good point about the nature of the IT services jobs in india. Its shocking to see these jobs associated with so much prestige back home when one does not require any special skills to do well in this industry. These jobs are treated so lowly in US that they have been shipped to india and unfortunately the desis mine no words while bragging about the so called 'MNC' jobs. Its time for a change in this attitude. We need to respect and pay the professors in the universities more than these IT junkies. that would lead to talented people stuck in this cesspool to join the universities and use their knowledge and intelligence to start doing R & D. Its only R& D which can develop a nation necessitating more attention from people back home for the sake of their future.

Your pathetic IQ is represented in your reply. Developing IT product need lots of analytical skill, consultant in SAP, oracle are paid 100 dollar per hour in usa not for copy paste morons. And one of you happy about manufacturing sector, the more manufacturing sector , the more pollution. India too would be polluted like China. West would move all polluting industry to developing India. Dudeman talking about attitude and paying more to professor, you are complete dumb guy. Guys in IT are paid more because the companies bill lot. It is pure business, to pay high to professor the universities need to raise fees, which is difficult considering the government control. jobs are not shifted to India because they are considered low, but because it is expensive to pay IT guys.

rexberry, Implementing the complexities of business is not a simple task, even those which are not related to product development but automating business needs considerable time and investment. people in IT have to constantly update their knowledge unlike other fields. Why dont you write a simple program of matrix multiplication than come and talk about IT and copy paste etc. you pick any job other than medical you don't need indepth knowledge of subject. Working in IT industry you work in stuff in which you are specialized, one does not have to have through knowledge of computer science, the reasoning ability and ability to learn tehnology is enough

fake resume and fake talents are everywhere be it India or US or any other country. Yes every one has difficulty in dealing with that. But this doesn't mean that all are fake, . yes, team work is more in IT and team of 10 one or two fake hard to catch, and after sometime fake also become original by gaining experience. Interesting na.

dude, don't comment without knowing. In IT all kinds of jobs there, R&D, development, Maintenance, product, critical database support and yes, BPO which can be done by 12th fail with good English. Examples in above article are not about IT but other industries. yes, initially BPO was more but now high end jobs like R&D also coming in bunch. It's all about business but duffer like you can only comment without knowing. Working conditions in IT is much better and yes honesty is more, they never put in dark , it's your choice to do particular job. Yes, we need to do better in other area, but blaming IT is not a solution. In fact IT is helping other industries by flowing money.
