what crap..I worked in Bank of America HQ. It is in Charlotte, North Carolina..Not NYC as it states above. The top 10 list is dubious. They have mixed them by fund managing and assets. The biggest bank in the world by market cap is HSBC.

Dear Banker, What is the difference between market cap of a bank and assets of a bank (ie banks managing of other people's money)? Please tell us.

True. Market cap is not a real measure of bank's size but deposits are. Market cap is CMP of equity.
