Yes,

Pensioners can expect anything between 15-25% increase in the pension drawn.

Your current D.A (47% of basic) will be merged with the basic, along with a marginal increase in the basic. And you will be paid 14% of this basic as D.A from Jan 2008.

Hi Roni,

Do you have any idea on how the pay / pension is being computed by the government?

Yes..Nothing reflect the PERFORMACE. It for everyone. You don't need to be a rocket scientist. I have have experienced this beofre with 5th Pay com -

Evrything willcome heavy on common man - That why I suggest performace based culture in Govt..Not calculate whole amount and divide by # of employees.

Just imagine what signal are we giving to corrupt gvt people - A Reward with 40% pay hike

Regards.

Correction: Read the text as follows:

Hi Roni and Siva,

Why fight with each other?

I am a pensioner since 1995. My total pension from what it was in 1995 has incresed by over six times since then, that is, @ an average of 46% per year. It was fixed at around 300% of the initial basic pension when the benefits of V Pay Commission were announced (wef 01 Jan 1995). Similarly, the rise would be substantial for all including pensioners. Suppose someone is drawing a pension of 10,000 PM, he should get anything from 13000 upwards.

Thanks,

Hi,

Your father would get a 20% increase in the current pension drawn, if the commission's recommendations are accepted by the centre.

Hi Roni,

Don't be an idiot. Try to use your brains. A pay panel would cover everyone including pensioners.

The Indian corporates are not bothered about performance and corruption (within their companies) and this being the case why should the pay panel be bothered about it.
