IAS are permanent govt. you should also know for 90k . he is a link bet_n PM and Cabinet. Only toppers can be placed for this coveted post. others are also doing their job and getting salary on behalf of these higher auth. you should also know the ratio of max : min::12:1.

Hey Ajit, I think the price of inflation has been paid by central goverment employees mouch mrore than you and me. Dont drool over there salary figure mentioned. The figures mentioned as 90K is the figure of those guys who realy are worth it. You know who becomes cabinet secretary, you know how much competition he has faced you know how many hours he has spent to clear IAS, you know how much determination he had to think of preparing for IAS? You know what they had bet on when they decided to prepare for IAS? No dear, you realy dont know, if you come to know then you will realise the CEO's of private companies are being paid unreasonable money if 90K per month is high.

well everyone spends sleepless nights to prepare for any good job. then why this bias towards only IAS officers . it seems as if those are the only people working in the country all other govt. officials are just fools?

Indian civil service an OLD out-dated irrelevant . No need to bash them with highest authoratitive position, IIM graduates better equipeed to face the global competatives.
