Parasites
by Akram Sheikh on Mar 19, 2008 11:27 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Most airport workers in Bengaluru and Hyderabad are Tamil workers. They watch Tamil channels on these airports, even while the travellers want to watch either Telugu or Kannada channels. Why cant the airports make sure that the local people get preference to jobs in airports, rather than let local agitations take place first and then do some firefighting. People feel bad when jobs are taken away. This is natural. This is the main reason, even in Mumbai, why cant governments allow local people to get preference or even quote in govt/semi-govt jobs. Local people just cant sit and watch their livelihood being snatched away by outsiders. They WILL agitate.

I think its because more outsiders can understand Tamil better than Kannada and Telugu. Moreoever in airports the local people are always less, while the outsiders who travel are more, so its convenient for them.
