Some days back I asked my 14 years old daughter: "What is your aim in life dear?" She promptly replied " I like to be an Engineer" - with a counter question to me "Dad - you being a successful Engineer in a leading multinational - what's your aim in life? is it over?" I started thinking and answered to my mind "I want to be the Managing Director of my company"
Now a thinking came in mind - if i go ask the same question to my M.D. what may be his answer? I guess He will answer "I want to be Bill Gates". Now what target Bill Gates may have? Means if I ask the same question to Bill Gates - what he may answer - will he keep mum? NO - he must be telling "I LIKE TO BE OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT, OMNISCIENT i.e. to achieve GODLINESS".
Yes - that is the ultimate aim in life. TO be Godly. When a child is born - he is born with utter Godliness - and gradually loose that heavenly Godliness - and agin aim to get back that like "We loose health to earn wealth and again try to get back the health by spending wealth". This eternal cycle completion is our aim.
Bill Gates is also of no exception. But I feel we must not wait to start our journey to achieve Godliness after being Bill Gates - in that case we may not be able to fulfill our aim. rather we must start our quest to achieve the eternal heavenly GODLINESS from now itself.
Thanks to Rediff to help me to re-affirm my aim in life.
