* manufacturing sector-Videocon,TVS,Tata,home grown Global automobiles (19,000/- bike), etc hv set up shop.
Rajarhat _NewTown-SaltLake all IT BPO hubs now.
Siliguri & durgapur & asansol within fastest growing urban centers in the country.
So Things r happening.
BUT the Govt. needs to CAUTIOUS Otherwise..........Unwanted incidents like Nandigram may happen which not good for the STATE , The Country also.
If Bengal Shines what will happen?
Exodus of ppl form states like orissa , Bihar, etc will be less to South, WEST, North of INDIAN in the process lightening the pressure on resources & infrastructure of these regions. Thats good for the COUNTRY.We all know what has happened to Bangalore due to high Pressure.
So lets hope Bengal re industrializes again ..it will only help the Country. Lets wish ALL of India well. All the BEST
P.S. Look towards the FUTURE don't get stuck in what Wrongs happened in the Past But surely try & correct them.
Let Projects in SHALBONI (Iron STEEL), NAYACHAR (Chemical HUB), etc come up peacefully Along with the growth of IT-BPO, etc. W.B. will surely come up.

Please read some good, recent research works (published in international journals) on the issue of industrialization, and economy! I guess you need to learn the economy during Lenin in Russia! So cold blooded killing of 20 poor farmers including females by the police and cadres is just a mere unwanted episode for you. And you are talking big about about well being of the state and the country, when you dont feel bad about persons getting killed by the government some 100 kms from the state capital. West Bengal is among the top 5-6 IT destinations seems like Maldives is in 6th or 7th place in 7 nations SAF games medal tally - how many big cities are there in India for IT - hardly 5-6 - under left rule of 30 years we are 5th or 6th - is it a pride or prejudice? "Siliguri & durgapur & asansol within fastest growing urban centers in the country" - probably you never visited Ahmedabad, Baroda or Mysore. If you really want to see what is over all development is even though the goverment is changing every 5 years, plz visit any of Indian states in the West (including Rajsthan) or South (excluding Kerala) - you will feel ashmed og our state's backwardness under the stable government of 30 years. Who is responsible for these mess up - One of the best Indian State of 1970s, west bengal today becomes one of the under developed state of india under and who presided over this disgraceful downfall - none other than CPM with its 30 years of miss rule.
