4676 cr for a 13.77 km line out of which only 8 km is underground (albeit below the river). This works out to a cost of Rs.339.579 crore per km at even cost! This itself sounds exhorbitant. Now, assume it is around Rs 100 crore per km for surface/overhead rail, it would cost 577 crore for 5.77 km which is not underground. Therefore for 8 km of under-river route the cost would be Rs.512 crores per km.....Man, is it worth spending that kind of money.
