I don't know how this economist comes to this figure and their methods of Analysis. Per capita income of Rs.40,000 per year means approx. Rs.3,333 per month. Do you feel our farmers, labourers, Drivers, daily wagers or let say 60% of the population earns this every month ?? This is not a real picture as when such calculations are made the average will always inclined more towards 5% of very high income people like top ranked Business families.

Dear Ashim, I'll explain. Assume your PCI is 10L. Assume for other 9 people it is 1L each. So whats the group average. 10L 10L divided by 10. Hence 2L. It is double value of other 9 peopl's PCI becuase one fellow still earns 10L
