Some politicians are advocating imposition of Windfall Profit tax on private oil companies. This is purely taking advantage of the current political compulsions faced by the Prime Minister and his Govt., and deserves to be condemned. In this era of scarcity of oil, no one will then come forward to prospect for oil, which is not at all good for the country. I agree with the other reasons laid out in the article by Prema.
