economic growth of india
by Guest on Jul 14, 2008 07:18 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I agree that on economic fronts india is growing. But I would like to ask these people who are boasting of economy whether they are looking at social aspect in India.I feel that we are socially still very backward. Look at population growth which is a negative aspect for economy, but nobody is even mentioning to reduce it. dowry is still rampant, female infanticide is rising, poor is still far away from getting basic things like health and education. If we are developing then why the no. of babas and gurus is increasing.See the growing crowd in religious places . Is it a sign of a healthy society . we still dont want to shed off castism and communalism. We need to really work very hard on the social front otherwise there is no point in boasting about the economy
