Every business person (CEOs of multinationals) and their media cronies go ga ga about transformation much like the yester-year BJP slogan "India shinning". These guys talk thru their hats without any data or stats on how economic disparity has increased since liberalization. Liberatization, free-market and structural adjustments are failed policies perpetrated by western instituions (world bank and IMF) to dominate markets in third world countries. These policies created havoc in latin America and now impacting India. No one quotes the 830plus million Indians subsisting on less than Rs.20 a day (thats a whopping 77% of the population!). Opening the stock market to FIIs has lead to rampant speculative capital inflow, which is now flying out of India distressing the life of even the middle class investors. Let CEOs with all honesty answer whether there has been any trickling effect in these 18years of liberalization!

what well said? now it 77% how much was it before 1991. I'm sure it must have been above 85%...we can talk about all negative for 100 years. See the positive side of things & see how we can utlide the opportunity presented to us...
