I AM SORRY TO HEAR SUCH COMMENTS. One gentleman went up saying that Mumbai opens up its gutter. Mumbai , being the financial capital of India has fed millions of people. Centre takes aways 40 % country's total income tax out of this city and in return nothing gets back to Mumbai.No wonder then this city than when someone says this city has become dying city. politicians at Delhi are responsible for this as they dont want Mumbai to go ahead of DELHI whereas politicians in Maharashtra are responsible for their enunchness nature. I think it is our all Mumbaikar's responsibility to assist to regain its statuture as financial capital of India

I like mumbai, but don't accept this logic that mumbai gives 40% of income tax the reason is my dear friend most of the big corporates has their head office at mumbai they file their return in mumbai but dear they earn all their money from different parts of country and not only from mumbai.

Amen to that.High share of income tax needs to be recognised as a historical legacy. More importantly, Mumbai has benefitted big time in terms of the people and jobs it has created for them.
