Fishy?
by Ananth Kumar on Jul 06, 2008 06:16 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

While what he is doing is nice , one wonders whether he is doing this because he did not get a job through campus recruitment. I saw this guy on TV-- he can't speak English properly, Oh, and I am not being biased just because he's an SC, so please don't accuse me of racism.

He is not an SC (and even if he is,it is something to be proud of - as he came through !!)
He is a Agri-Business Graduate from IIM-A ; which is a different program from the flagship MBA program (which generally makes all the news for placements etc.).
The Agri Business Mgmt Program (ABM) takes in around 30 people per year with different criteria than the MBA as the ABM program attracts people who have an Agri Background and thus dont compete on the same scores of CAT with others. So it is vastly easier to get into the ABM program than the MBA program.
However, that does not mean his endeavor is not worthy of appreciation - its quite laudable.
