it seems that many people are quite jealous of IT professionals.they have no idea how hard and demanding their job is.... a cut in the variable and it seems like some people are ready to have a party!!! may be these people should look around and see for once the hard work IT workers put...at least by saying cyber coolies you acknowledge their hard work...

Cyber coolies is a wrong term....those who call them coolies probably were not good enough to get into IT in the first place...
But there is no place for exaggerated importance too...simply put, IT is not half as demanding or hard as some other jobs...eg. the job of an aircraft maintenance engineer is atleast thrice as tough and demanding as the job of an average IT pro...
So, calling them coolies is uncalled for, at the same time, IT pros should not get carried away and think that they are doing something of earthshaking importance...cos if you are working in a TCS or Infy or Wipro, the chance of doing something really cerebral is minimal...most Indian IT companies are involved in low end maintenance work...

IT guys are like donkeys. Hard working but so do we all work hard. But we also work smart. Also I insult coolies by calling them cyber coolies. They are the slaves of the Americans doing the low end work and thinking they are Einsteins.
