Waiving principal amount it totally illogical and seems to have been done with ulterior motive. If the crop fails FM could have waived the interest totally. Where is the necessity of principal waiver?. Already farmers are enjoying income tax benefit. Are they supplying food articles free of cost to the government?. Are they not receiving price for that? Let the farmers pay their loan when the crop gives them good return. Adding fuel to the fire our beloved FM has announced that the farmers are eligible for fresh loan( for later waiver?). This is a kind of white collor bribery. In India land is free, TV is free, power is free, interest is free, loan is free. That is why India is now a free country. Where from the money comes for this. From political parties' corpus funds? From Politician's personal purse? From kickbacks? From Swiss bank accounts? It is all poor tax payers' money sir poor tax payers' money. This is an indirect bribe given to illiterate voters. What a sorry state of affairs. As per today's budget you need not have agricultural land to earn agricultural income. In your posh flat on the topmost floor have some flower pot. Call it a nursery. You can have tax free income. Yes this is agricultural income as per today's budget whichis tax free. Probably you can also raise a loan for this if you have political clout. In all probability this will be written off if you wait till next elections. I do not know what the election commission is doing. Unbiased dialog is requ

Although it seems illogical it is very necessary since it is long pending issue. At the present situation finacially blocked farmer could not contribute to increase the productivity of his farm. Which is directly reflecting in the slow down in the agriculture and reduce the national income. Only thing is that to avoid further such crisis in future, financial institution should saction the loan and recover it in disciplined manner with specific guidelines.

Iam very sorry to know that there are such idiots and brainless guys who doesn't know anything about farming. How many farmers do you think are earning an income that can be taxed? You go on to a field and work for a day and see how farming is like.In India most of the farmers who provide food for guys like you doesnt have the opportunity to have two meals, infact one meal a day. Do you think you are giving any alms to the farmers. Its your duty to look after the farmers who are equal to your mother who has fed you.
