Yes, as a tax payer it might be pinching you that govt. is giving out big money to farmers.
but belive me, I have seen a conditions of those people in maharashtra they are in very bad condition. They are struggling for getting a 1 ruppie, I have seen a people of buying a groundnut oil or suger of 2 rupies and 1 rupies
more over there is problem with crops....
As far as FM decison is concern I will back him on this issue. He had done fairly good job on this front.
What govt need to do now is a ful proof implementation plan, guide lines are laid out there that small and marginal farmers are going to get benifit. will be very much intersing to see how it gets implemented.

friends, devgowda, sharad pawar are not going to gain from this move ( IDEALY) as they owns hundreds of acres of land.

after all if this money is not given to farmers what you think what happen with money ......
it will have been get to some politices by any other way.

I fully agree with you. Farmers work under intense sunlight. They have no proper financing scheme.By working over more than 12 hours they only manage to maintain themselves with third grade poorliving standard. Any of his or his family member's ailment or other health problem collapses his financial condition and leads him towards committing suicide. And ironically at the time when rest of India is shining.
Its high time now to bring growth rate of agriculture sector to match other sector.
