I too had a similar problem,earlier i used to invest using icici direct,but afte the no entry load feature came in i decided to deal directly with the AMCs. so finally i have managed to get online accounts for few fund houses like birla,hdfc,reliance,icici,principal. the process is initailly bit cumbersome like filling up the form yourself,but once you have done that and got an online account its very convenient afterwards,the list of banks to pay from is not exhaustive but still i think we can find few banks which are present everywhere,so may be open an account with them if you don't have one.
