I wouldn't say it's flopped in other parts of the world? Take a look at the extensive usage in places like Australia and Singapore. And speaking about "far better technologies" - there aren't many you can count. Other than WiMax, I don't think any other technology is comparable. It's still a question mark as to which technology's better between 3G and WiMax.
If you're talking about other techs that will be introduced in teh future - sure, it's possible. That's the way technology works - there'll eventually be something better. But there definitely won't be something better in India by 2009.

Pen and pencil...ha...ha.. show to yr cronies.. All the best is coming from west. Because they have the mentality to burn money on research & development.Whereas in India, if one research fails, it is totally abandoned and blame game starts.
