This price rise is a worldwide phenomenon. There is scarcity for food items all around UPA should have taken measures like squeezing the money flow to the market, by increasing CRR at the earliest. Instead of that Chidu waited for the price go through the roof, then asked RBI to increase CRR.
More and more areable areas are given for industries or for comemrcial purposes. Land filling for commercial purposes are rampant. There are various reasons for this like increased expenses for cultivation, non availability of labour and low returns from farm products. If Government address these problems with earnest ness and stopping agricultural land for any other use, the problem will be solved quite soon.
