Can you people tell me why your non-marathis education institutes have mushroomed under the claim of linguistic minority. Under which clause 30 lakh malyalees, 20 lakh tamils, 40 lakh gujaratis, and 50 lakhs hindi living in maharashtra falls under the linguistic minority. only people who were living in maharashtra before its formationt can be called minority and not everydy intruders. remember there is 50% reservation for students coming from your communities in institutions run by you and marathi students have to wander here and there. why do you like this policy. go to industrial belt in navi mumbai, pimpri chindhwad, nashik, nagpur, where you will find 80% employees from kerala, TN, Karnatka, UP & BIHAR? for whom vast FDI is pourint into maharashtra? in view of this, nothing wrong in demanding 80% jobs for marathis

Why reservations only for marathi youths, why is he not speaking for jobs to local which includes people from all other states living in maharashtra for last 30-40 years and are maharashtra residents, what does he mean by "bhoomiputra"???. Has anyone dared to ask him from where did he got money to buy a Rs.400 crore land in Mumbai, everyone knows he was a cartoonist, can a cartoonist arrange such a huge sum. the reason for raising this question was that he had amassed this sum from people like us, from marathi youths. i also agree local should get opportunities but you should have that talent to support the claim.

Hi Sawant, It's amazing to see that you view your own countrymen as intruders...we don't need any enemies!! Talking about employees in the industrial belt?...if "marathi people" are so good..then why do they not have a job? are they waiting for an a/c cabin to knock on their door? I'm not being racist here but simply saying that the cause of the problem is not being addressed. This is being snowballed into a political issue. There's another valid point to be spoken about, you give a man a crutch and he will use it...refusing to use his feet. Seems like you want the crutch so bad that you refuse to even believe that you have two feet, two hands and a god given brain that is supposed to be used.

What's next - asking that all graveyards reserve 80% space for the son of the soil?
