Let China invest in India
by Sharad on Apr 10, 2008 09:07 AM   Permalink

We should encourage free trade so long as China reciprocates. Also, it will make sure that China is not dumping goods in India below cost. If they want to dump below cost, then let Indian employees and business be the beneficiary of that.

If Indian Govt does not have the guts to open up the economy and make it a TRUE MARKET ECONOMY, India will always be importing things. A true market economy will weed out the losers, only the best will survive. Indian companies in the past were working in a closed economy and producing lousy, costly goods. We were not exporting anything but importing a lot of things, which made our country almost bankrupt in 1991. We had to then open up the economy.

Now Indian industry is learning to produce quality, innovate and manage their enterprises well and compete globally. This will result in using the NATURAL RESOURCES most EFFICIENTLY and PRODUCING HIGHEST VALUE out of it. The Indian industry is already asking for higher tariffs on Chinese imports. The govt should level the playing field and let everybody compete on quality. It is good for the consumers.
