It is possible for the billionaire Jawad karim (co-founder of Youtube) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jawed_Karim) or take the example of Jawad Khahai who is the Vice president of Micrososft (http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/exec/jawadk/default.mspx) to be a devout Muslim, but that is US, but here in India one cannot be a devout Muslim and can grow in corporate ladder. Premji's reluctance to show his Muslim identity is a shame to India's secular image. He is simply scared!!!. In this regard it is pertinent to know how EX ceo of HP clarly fiorian (she is not a Muslim) who managed to talk about the greatness of Islamic civilization to Business leaders http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/execteam/speeches/fiorina/minnesota01.html
(see the last two paragrahs and reader get educate yourslef about Muslims and Islam
Leaders need courage to speak truth even in the face of stiff opposition, but Azim premji doesnt know his own roots and he is a Business man. I dont blame him , he is right in his own way

But i am sure you still hate the US. and would still immigrate if given a chance. what do you want premji to do? start flaunting his religion?you think he is scared? then you don't a damn about business. nobody cares he is a muslim.people run a business for profit not for religious purposes. if that is the case then so many people of other faiths would not be working for wipro.they need a job he is providing thats all.no body is worried about his religion. i was the biggest fan of Azhar, i didn't care about his religion , he played good thats all i cared.neither do i care about the religion of the khans, they entertain me and i am happy with that. don't see religion in everything please. prosperity and rigid religious rules don't go together.

I disagree, Premji's "reluctance" to wear his religion on his sleeve is more to do with his ability to keep religion where it belongs, in private.
One need not flaunt religion, religion is a very personal choice. Forcing other people to behave the way one thinks is right is against humanity. As somebody here mentioned, Mr. Kalam doesnt remind Indians that first he is a Muslim, he is looked upon as a role model, but it does not make him any less a Muslim. Like wise, people with celebrity status in India dont flaunt their religions, be it Viswanathan Anand, Sachin Tendulkar, Bishen Singh Bedi, Ratan Tata, Mohammed Azharudding, Kaif, AR Rahman, Remo Fernandez, John Abraham, the list can go on. Its all about understanding to keep personal things personal.

What you will say for Mr.Kalaam... He is a muslim. He is a person loved by each and every indian. Nobody looked him as a muslim. Instead everybody looked him as a true indian, who cares about the welfare of is country.
