Our obsession for US starts from the top
by A G on Oct 13, 2007 07:18 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The US has always kicked us at our times of need. Remember the Tarapur fuel, cryogenic engine from Russia, super computer from Cray, permanent seat at UN and may be many more. Yet our unelected PM is over-obsessed over a nuclear deal with them which will cost lakhs of crores of rupees. He has no guts to tell our own scientists to excel and produce power from huge amounts of indegenious thorium in say 5 years. If this is our mentality at the top, why blame anyone else ? Yes, we are US-centric from top to bottom.

abe oye thorium cycle is an experiment..it may come off it may not.there are chances in it in india..there are many failures ...and the indio -us nuclear deal is an handle taht will allow india to come in nuclear mainstream...its more then just india -us deal..it opens up new avenues for us,,..and agreed US has kicked us in past..it was because we were irrevent...india was not a reconisable military, economic power which is why it was kicked around and we opposed us to add to it....now things are different...india has a sizable economy and we are becoming a staragic ally for us,..they need us and we need them...so come out of ur wekness and try to see things at global level rather then being stuck in cold war mentality..
