Really Spendid
by Rajesh Rajesh on Oct 11, 2007 10:31 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

I have been watching for the last 8 years that there are only 2 companies which are showing continous growth in terms of volume and profit. These companies are infosys and Reliance. In 2000s when there were dot com com bubble only infosys showed good performance. This is because of greater vision and proper planning. What I suggest is that we have to learn a lot from these two companies. Because I think these two are the role model for others.

Look at the mess Infosys made on Bangalore
roads.

And, as Badal says, why is Reliance selling
vegetables instead of building bridges ?

Are these two companies good for the country ?

Ok, let me reply to each of your statement:
1. Mess on roads of banagalore: Necessasity is the mother of invention. Since Bangalore infrastructure has proved inadequeate govt. has to come up all kinds of development work that needs to be there in a city like bangalore. Look at delhi, 10 years ago it used to be a mess, but things have improved, infrastructure came when it was needed!

2. Selling vegetables is good. it gives better returns to farmers and creates an organised sector out of tottaly unorganised sector. yes, some people will have to change their occupations but this is bound to happen in a growing economy. These things will create new jobs in market.

3. infosys and other IT companies have raised the level of disposable incomes that lot of young ppl have. This has its spin-offs as consumptions rises it supports different industries involved in providing these items.

If reliance starts selling vegetables, vote pullers like Badal will find their votebank disturbed. Because farmers will become rich, educated and will no longer be subject to the whims of politicians like Badal. It is only corporates like Infy Reliance ITC etc. who can empower Rural India.
