Just type VODAFONE and send it to 56565 (Toll Free). But remember one thing, your cell should not be Nokia 93 handsets..

The operator name appearing on the screen is either by the phone, which names the network according to the signal code and the country code or by the SIM, which will overtake the above. In both cases, if you are using a phone, which is manufactured b4 hutch becoming vodafone, the phone will name the corresponding combination of the signal code and the country code, as Hutch (too older phones will show it as BPL mobile) and the SIM, which were supplied to u by the Hutch will show it as Hutch only.

Now on, I presume, the SIM supplied will be showing 'Vodafone', as they can make the necessary change in the SIM, before giving it to the customer. Hope it is clear now....

Yeah,It is the logo that means you have to go to settings and select operator logo on to make this logo visible on your screen which just hides the hutch. Are they fooling. The thing is that if you have a GPRS fone the vodafone will be seen otherwise not.so buy a GPRS phone to be with vodafone .How funny?

I used to be with Orange, so my phone screen still displays Orange as I haven't bothered to change it.

I believe to change it you need to sms VODAFONE to 56565. It's toll free for now. But who cares!!!

I, for olde times sake, am still with Orange, though it became Hutch... which was bad.

Now my network has changed to a new doghouse called Vodafone.

They say Change is good! So let's wait and see if they are true to their word.
