Dear Mr. Chidambaram,

Please note carefully, you should do deferintiate Salary person IT wise such as:-

a) Central Government & State Government Employees of any organisation may give more Tax and they must have less benefits under IT because they are having other source of income .

b) Small business man (1 - 20 Lacs) have some other tax benefits as they are also having other source of income.

c) Private sector employees may under less IT rules as they are getting No. 1 income & do not have any other source of income. These people are most harrased. Because they are have to work harder & harder to stay in pvt. co. & do the performance. If you tax them heavily then how they sustain.

Because now days everything is going against there limits like house rent, conveyance, eatables etc

Think & do something.

Our freind seems to be under the mis conception that all govt employees and small businessmen are corrupt and have other sources of income whereas all private sector employyes are paragons of virtue.
There are black shhep every where and good and honest people every where. such generalisation only shows lack of aplication of mind or limited experience.

I fully agree with Anil. There are many goverment employees who slog more than those working in the private sector and that too for no financial gains.
