Being an ex-employee of TCS, let me share some of my experiance there
1)The working environment in TCS is one of the worst 2)The managers, PL's and other bosses hardly works.These are the guys who hardly have any technical knowledge of the project but takes away the highest appraisals. 3)Its the freshers who works the most..sometimes 12-16 hrs.. and gets a meagre 11k in the first year..Even after their hard work, their commitments were question by the above seniors and is given the least appraisals.. 5)During appraisals, seneriority is taken into account and not the intelligence,
4)For promotions and onsite opportunities, whats counts is not ur amount of work. working hours or the productivity of work but ur ability of chamchagiri to ur boss..I have seen many non competent guys moving ahead by buttering their bosses..
5)Promotions and onsite can also depends if u have good links with the superiors. Though Tcs has given me the first Job ..My joy knew know bounds when I left it for a better job..
6)Practically no scope of creativity .
My friends in infy and wipro reports the same in their company
For those who says IT guys are greedy I must say the salary given by TCS gives u a decent living..But I am greedy for a good working enviroment..

Hi Debra, You are dead right. I am also an ex employee of TCS and had the same experience. I am a lot happier to have made a decision to quit TCS.
