My name 'Girish' is printed as 'Girishchandra' on PAN card. I want to have it corrected to maintain consistency in name across all important documents.How do I go about having it corrected?

again apply for fresh PAN card quoting same PAN number with correct name along with proof of identity enclosing therewith old PAN card.

my pan no.is ALJPD2118C mysurname printed as DAKHE it is to be corrected as DAKE.

Dear Girishbhai, oh sorry Girishchandra , oops sorry Girish -- you need to make an affidavit from a public notary saying that you are one and the same person known by different names. Than with that affidavit make an application for new pan/change of name in old pan.
