PAN for NRE

Dear Sir,
I am an NRE holding a PAN card.Pls advise whether its compulsory for me to file income tax returns even if its not taxable?

not required.... the income outside india is not taxable in India. check out with banker for remittance clauses....

you don't have to file the returns but you need PAN if you are buying a property in India.
