endless theories and possibilities. but hardly one speaks or even reminds oneself of the fact "Prevention is better than cure".
If Indian schools, teachers and parents educate their children about sex and HIV, and its protecttion, then half of the problem would be solved.
India is a country where speaking of sex is considered taboo, but seems like actions are now speaking much louder than words. How hypocritical and sad.
I agree with you.."prevention is better than cure", that doesnt mean CURE shouldnt be there and those who are affected to suffer and die, PREVENTION is essential, CURE is DESPERATE NEED FOR THE AFFECTED. Both are required!

HIV is widely spread mostly through sex. Today, our country has devices to screen the blood that is being donated. Thus HIV transmission through bloood transfusion is preventable to a major extent. Also, a HIV mother can abhort her fetus so as to prevent her child from acquiring the virus. As i said, prevention is better than cure. First of all, no extra/pre-marital sex, if at all, then safe sex. Only if one acquires HIV will one pose the threat of transmitting it.
