Great to note our engineering degree is accredited now. Its a move in the right direction to become a signatory to Washington accord. However at the moment this accord covers only the IIT degrees. Its well known fact that our IIT'ians are capable of competing to their overseas counterparts, in otherwards they are doing extremely good job in silicon wally and all. What about other REC's and accredited engineering degrees? There should be some arrangement to get their degrees to be accredited globally. Anyways we have got a break through and we need to push the idea of getting accreditation to all engineering degrees.

Read the article properly. The accord covers NOT ONLY IITs but NIT/RECs and all other recognized Indian Engg colleges.
