Taxes - every where
by srinivasan mv on Feb 19, 2007 04:30 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The following is the monthly budget for a family man who earns in a Metropolitan city, supports his Parents, his wife and children.

Salary
Rs. 25000/-
Income tax - Rs. 8250/-
Balance Takehome Rs. 16750/-
Rent after tax: 6000/-
School fees for two children: Rs. 3000/-
Food and groceries: Rs. 5500/-
Medical expenses: Rs. 1250/- p.m.
Any other services like
telephone : Rs. 1000/- (plus service Tax)

Finally, burden has been the life of a lone Middle class earner. If he breaks down, no savings to support his family.

Male earners should be taxed less since they bear the burden of the family. Most women are second engines.

If you are going to increase the sales tax and service tax everywhere, then do away with Income tax. We will pay for the goods and services. Why should we pay for both?

Mr. FM are you listening?

How will he listen when he hasn't even had time to listen or be aware of his wife's handling of the IT govt cases? :) Isn't it funny? :)
