first of all 1 lakh limit for non taxable income is too low as per the present cost of living rather cost of surviving. The Govt should have a fixed 10% IT. Why people dont pay tax is because of the slabs. This will bring down the ratio of black money and white money and the effective collection of tax will be more than what it is now.
