service sector can make only very small countries like luxemburg (80% revenue thru financial serv) rich. for a country with size of india, we have to have good manufacturing and basic technology sectors developed. if upon them secong genrtn technoloogies are good, then sone pe suhaagaa. I love india, but if you ask me to put my money on, it will definitely be china. i have been to shanghai, beinjing and few other chinese cities, their advancement is mindboggling. infact i will rate shanghai ahead of chicago and new york. there were hardly and slums as i travelled inbetween the cities. we should stop comparison with USA, japan and europe. they are daddies. first let us set our target at our bigger brothers in east like china, malaysia, singapore, south korea. step by step. we are still 126 ranked in terms of human development index and largest no. of poor live in india
To be a happy person, you donot have to follow china or america or japan. Infact there was a survey by american company, it is Denmark, Switzerland, Newzeland people are more happy and patriotic than other so called developed countries. You do not need to industrilization, you need to have balanced economy. try not do depend on foreign countries for food and water.
