Reality is different
by prabhjeet singh on Feb 14, 2007 05:35 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I am afraid but the reality is a bit different from what is written in this article. Let%u2019s not be emotional (something on which we are good at) about things, let%u2019s take a practical approach. I agree with what is written in this article, but the big question is who will change the Attitude of the people here in India. I believe Attitude is the key to success, as a Nation we stands no where in the world. Its about personal achievements, Indians are successful, individually but not as a country.

We still are a Hindu, Sikh first or a North Indian / South Indian. A player from one region is not selected in the cricket team, people start protesting, we will always use shortcuts in Govt office, we will give police man 50 rupees to avoid a challan of 100, we fight on religion, we fight on caste, people clean their house and throw everything out on streets. Every one of us struggle for basic things in life. You are at home, no electricity, no water, on road Traffic / Pollution, in office corruption everywhere. No one is serious about India as a country, every one of us is self centric, self focused and selfish.

Politicians are the biggest culprits. They are making fool of us for last 50 years and will keep doing it until and unless we die as a nation. Every single place has been named for a Politician, every college / school / airport / everything. Although they have no relation what so ever with it. They will raise issue on making a Hindu Temple in every election, giving reservations to Muslims. A person who has never played a single ball in his entire life is the president of state cricket association. They will send their children%u2019s abroad for studies / marriage etc and after that they will rule Fool people like us. We need leaders who have vision and who can think beyond caste / religion / region, people who can think about nation.

Again coming to the point Attitude is the key, it%u2019s not about individuals, every one of us needs to change. Who is creating this corruption, who is making the streets dirty? Think about it you will find the answers. One person here and there can%u2019t change a nation, but certainly can set an example to follow.

Promise that Next time when you will go at a railway station, you will not split or you will not give bribe to get something done. You will follow all the rules and do awareness in your family. Things will improve automatically, I can guarantee you%uF04A

u said it .. this is what every Indian who is educated and can think has in their hearts about our fellow citizens who trade others life for a living ..this is the condemnation in every mans heart about what India is going through behind the hype of being a superpower .. we are repressed and suppressed by religion and corruption .. what the religious fanatics wont realize is that no religion or caste is right or wrong to prove that they have to kill 1.2 billion people , destroy everything and start everything new which will make them at least thousand years behind what the western has achieved ..

lets all vote for those IIT-ans who started a political party and see if they can make a difference. That would be a good start.

Dear ts,
your post reminds me the film "YUVA" Where the message is that we blame bad (uneducated, rouge) politicians but then why the educated peopledoont want to go to politics and make the change. Why IItians any educated person going to politics should be encouraged.

Are you crazy... They are smart people, they have better things to do in life, and by the way media is waiting eagerly to write articles about their achievement, so leave politics to non-IItians like me
