Air Deccan's standards, or the lack of it....
by satyendra jha on Dec 31, 2007 05:59 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Recently, I was to take an evening flight from Hyd for Mumbai, and reached the airport directly to procure the ticket there itself. Almost all the airlines had the similar fare structure, depending on the time of flight. All except Deccan, as they were not able to confirm the available fare to me..! Why..? Because their SYSTEM was DOWN...!

I ultimately flew by Kingfisher, but thats not the point here. Why should we believe in Air Deccan? I think there is a lot of "GOPINATH" still left in Deccan. Mallya has to take certain decisions, and fast.......!

criticisms notwithstanding, captain gopinath

did do a wonderful job which enabled

ordinary folk also taking to flying.

i salute his courage in taking to this

experiment; perhaps he did not have sufficient

wherewithal to withstand the initial

losses which turned out to be too huge.

a warm salute to cap.gopinath.

he will be remembered in the annals of

indian civial aviation history as a pioneer.
