Earlier Indira Nooyi was appointed global CEO of Pepsi. Now Vikram Pandit is taking over as CEO of Citigroup.
Surely, Indians like them taking over the reigns of global institutions bring more cheers to our work capabilities and ethics.
I personally feel that this breed is a better testimony to our ethos than the likes of Swaraj Paul, Hindujas, Lakshmi Mital, Sunita Williams, Bobby Jindal and Arun Nayyar etc., although the achievements of people of Indian origin born and brought up abroad are by no means to be belittled.
Any views?
Important: If you have anything constructive to offer, please go ahead and dispute, debate. But don't just shout and make a ---- of yourself.

Able Managers and leaders are taking over. Today it is Indian, so you feel proud. If tomorrow another able manager from another country comes, will you say Indians lost or discrimination? Every civilized country has able and successful citizens whose actions do the rest proud. Yes I agreee with you, our capabilities are being brought out more and more with time and I too feel happy about it.

This is to address your post scrip: Emperor! You are not the final word to decide what is constructive or not. You may like to be reminded that if you don the name Emperor - you just receive views from subjects and use your supposedly fine sense of judgement to decide, whether anything is worth considering or let it go by. You do not prescribe, ever, please. Those who have not cared to respond to your invitation may have concluded that the points written by you do not merit response.(may be?)

Work Ethos are country specific and cannot be universalised. Yes when cross pollinated it does create a unique resource in a person. But it is a matter of time when, equilibrium will set in and the person who has changed lands, will mesh into the local ethos and may have to change his ethos too!
