Pandit might not have gottenn a seat in engineering college inspite of his high marks. Else he would've been another Murthy or Damodaran now in India. Long live Indian reservation system and psedo-democracy

I had good marks and no reservation.Majority of students who got in are without reservations and belonged to middle class.All are dooing good now ,Thanks to Kerala . There are always those who complain about anything and everything to cover their failures! Pandit did a PHD from columbia, if he were in INDIA he would have did something good in the IIT.
