But the credit does not go to India. Pandit left for New York at the age of 16. Indian education system cannot produces Indra Nooyi, or Vikram Pandit or Amiyanath Bose. So stop playing trumpet. India does not even have an education ministry now. Only an HRD minisrty, led by the CPM-purchased Arjun Singh!

Indra Nooyi studied at the Madras Christian College. Vikram too finished school in India. What it shows is that uor basic school education system is very good. In fact colleges like IITs/IIMs/ISB/NIT produce great people - it is when education is left to be governed by politicians that the systems suffers. We can still be proud that India produces great leaders but US provides them the opportunity to shine!
