People only see the outer face of Calcutta. Without knowing the City properly they comments like a full. I hate them who think that Kolkata has nothing to give. But it is absolutely wrong conception. Calcutta has a potential what very few city in India have.What Kolkata thinks today, rest of India thinks tomorrow. It has a rich culture, heritage, good people, etc. It is most safe city in the World.It is booming now. And about Bengali? today they r everywhere in the world. Most intelligent community as they are known. Kolkata, rather Bengal is a place of Rabindrantah Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Amrtya Sen, Sorav Ganguly.........and the list goes on.Anything more anyone wants to know about Calcutta & Bengal??

Show your emotions at 'someplace else kolkata peoples are very narrow minded and cannot tolerate even peoples coming and staying from other districts they always fear losing jobs to the superior. Just wake up and jave peoples in management from all over india and not calcasians

Thats the point Calcutta lives in the past glory which no doubt is great and they have contributed.Mr Amartya Sen though a Bengali has stated he has nothing to do with Calcutta.Saurav has always been good. Lets not ride on anybodys shoulders and with a great past why cant we have a great future though we had a miserable present.

This is the spirit I am not interseted in. Nobody commented on Bengalis but everyone want the devil Commies to go away and I feel most of the writers here are nonpoliticals.. Not only Bengalis, Punjabis, Tamil, Telugu, Biharis, Marathis, Gujaratis are everywhere and have done so much for country. Every part of country people has rich culture. There are people with names respected in all fields. Yes Bengal and Bengalis have done so much and I respect them too for this. But think. After so long list Bengal could not produce a modern leader who can set example like Chandrababu Naidu, Manohar Parikar, with a progressive mind. On part of progress your leaders have closed Jute & Cotton mills at Burdwan, Konnagar, Bandil, Bali, 24 Parganas, closed Hind Motor, Funds at research institutes like Jadhavpur university blocked, they create nonsense on a pin drop like bandh etc. and take whole city on ransom....This is what you people have to think of and take the right critism in right spirits. I have travelled every part of country many cities of country multiple times. Previously on job tours and now my own business. So I can compare much better every part of country. You are getting pinched by a positive critism. This is what I do not like with people in that part of country. Think how much WB would have achieved with so much natural resources, manpower, intelligence had these rotten people would not have ruled WB for so long....
