Making business in India is tough and profitable
by siva subbu on Dec 04, 2007 02:55 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Hey,

I think that Indians are clever enough.

They are price savvy because they know retailers are going to cheat them and they spend more time in markets to ensure the product they buy is of good quality.

There is no one to guarantee the products which we buy. Neither retailer, wholesaler nor the Company.

First ask the companies to gain the trust. Next make business.

Once people trust you guys, half of your job is done and are almost successful.

Regards,
Shiv

Yes, there is no accountability if a product is sub-quality. In US, if you find a sub-standard product you can sue the company for millions of dollars. Here if you find an insect in a packed food, the shopkeeper will simply remove it and ask you to take it.
