Why so much of hype for Infosys, Wipro, TCS. They are just body shoppers. No innovation, product development. They just use the knowledge invented by some1 else and nothing gr8 abt them. Admire Google, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Adobe etc. They invented the technologies. Instead of bulding the campuses in big cities, why can't they go to small towns and improve them. Many people will be available to do the type of work in Infosys, so no need to worry abt Man-Power. Please think about this.

to an extent what u said is true, but not everyone has to be einstein, not everybody has to be kalam. we need workers, we need few brains to do the usual jobs. On the positive side, these IT companies have raised our level of life. Did u even imagine having a 50k salary for a 25yr old guy?? I guess never!!! and jobs for almost 100,000 guys in a one company?? no!!!

ya i am agree with u. previously when happened, after finishing his/her graduation, indian tried to open some small shop in thier native place or started some small marketing or some mechanical engineering type job. But no doubt, IT has changed india's life. Today the real state boom is only due to IT. if any body is thinking of MBAcourse then also due to IT so that they can become HR manager in the industary. I think Nashtradumu future prediction is going true, except world war.

it's great that they make money without any cheating . nothing is black money .They have created lot of oppurtunities.and regarding body shopping .. , for them it is the main source of income. . Nobody in INDIA can invest much in IT R&D like IBM , ADOBE etc. if they try , then there r no WIPROs INFYs or TCSs..

To a great extent you are right. Our major IT companies have their maximum revenue from Body shopping - maybe initial stages that looks alright. But what is worrying that none of them are sadly are into real product development, R&D kind of thing - which are the path breakers and true sign of leadership.
And I presume they are all thinking and also working in this direction already.
But nonetheless given the background under which they have succeeded to be where they are today - they all deserve our Salute and not rebuke.

BOSS!!!! when they started there wasnt even this "body-shopping" as you say........ v indians always think that anything and everything that comes from the western world is good and superior to us.........v should get rid of this kind of attitude first....... dont forget there are a huge no of indians in those companies that u mentioned and our Indian firms are also moving slowly towards product development......... jus wait n watch dude...........

Do it dude, the product development. It is not that easy to make a product and sell it across the world. Doing the body shopping isn't that difficult just by showing enggrs. Do the R&D and sell it across the Markets, then u vl realize the product development. How many years over since the Wipro, Infy and TCS set-up ? It is more than 20 yrs and not even a single product from them. Our perception, wtever that comes from west is superior, is 100% true. They follow the standards, rules, time schedules and cleanliness. Just doing R&D is not the only big thing but following these things is also very important. Do you think Indians follow any of these? Except Bengaloru (Karnataka), Chennai (TN) and Hyderabad (Andra), no other part of India follows these things.
