IIM autonomy & India Inc
by rajendran dharmasambraj on Apr 26, 2007 12:19 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Most of the India Inc big wigs are IIM alumini. The have created an illusion that there is no talent outside IIMs. Instead of harking on IIM autonomy india inc should look for talent from other institutions.

Your inferiority complex is showing here. Most industry leaders I know of have no special fascination for IIM grads ( or from other top 10 institutes ) except that it enables them to hire fairly bright people at entry level. After that it is just a matter of performance for individual growth. In fact many like to hire non-IIM guys because they come cheaper and are easier to retain and manage !
