value cost averaging
by Bijoy Bhukania on Apr 22, 2007 10:24 PM   Permalink

Rediff should carry an article on Value Cost Averaging (VCA) method of investing, as opposed to Rupee Cost Averaging (RCA), popularly known as SIP. I had digged out couple of articles on that, and I serously think that at least Rediff should promote that.

another note: SIP is known as Dollar Cost Averaging in USA. "Finance Specialists" have shown, and it can shown mathemtically that, SIP does not help you generate higher return over lump sum investment, as is being promoted by Rediff/Personalfn.com. However, SIP does help you commit certain amount for long term investment.
