These So called Indian MNC did well in giving jobs to thousand of ver average engineers but they can never be called world class as they are only doing the jobs od cut and paste .. They need to do a lot specially increasing there quality of talent so that they can develop something like Microsoft, Oracle, Adoble Go beyond hiring the Engineers from pathetic Engineering college and do something.. but i appreciate at least they have given jobs and platform from where we can launch ourselves

Well said Jitendra...that atleast they are providing jobs even to students from pathetic engineering colleges...talented students are their in such institutes...it's just that they are very few. And it's also true that more than 80% sit on bench and do cut & paste which is ridiculous. This way they are just spoiling the talent.

Whoa...80% ON BENCH...What a Joke!!!How do u know 80% are on Bench...and so u mean to say they are earning billions of dollars with just 20%...
Know what you must educate the Top management team at Infosys on how to put the remaining 80% to best use, so that they can increase their profit :-)

wonder what 'this talent' would be doing if infy (or other software cos) had hired for 'cut n paste' jobs... Guys understand it'll take hell of a lot of time before u can expect 'high end' work... we are a young nation and one of the youngest into technology (that also thankfully b'cos the govt did not focus on technology when it was young, else it wud hv been another colossal loss)

Absolutely... Last known, Indians werent designing the best airplanes/ nuc reactors / cars or were discovering multiple cures for cancer or AIDS! It's important to be patient in this industry and hope positive trends are'nt botched by politicians

It's not true that all indian companies and their employees are doing cut and paste job. It's a very immature point of view. Many of them are doing challening work (if not creating a new product). Creating new products is definitely appreciable but along with that comes the selling the product as well. Selling a product may not appear as much honorable but ultimately a company producing product has to do it to survive. I don't know how many people are aware of Chennai based Ramco which makes a fairly good ERP package 'Marshall'. I guess they are not doing too well as it's not easy to sell your software product based in India. The other myth is that all employees of companies like Microsoft, Oracle are very talented. The fact is that they have many mediocre employees (not only based in India but ones based in their countries) and every big company require mediocre employees. So, don't cry too much on lack of talent. The market will decide what kind of talent goes where.

dude, if you want to do more than cut and paste, prove your worth. If you really are talented and think you can create a rocket, well whoz stopping you? Dont crib about what you dont have. Stop and look at some of the freshers out of colleges who dont have jobs. If companies like infosys wouldnt have existed, imagine the number of people who would have been jobless. How do you want to explain this my friend ?
