it is not the question of affordable air fares...Sahara aircrafts/maintenance is pathetic compared to Jet as also hospitality and service. Jet may have to totally revamp Saharas's attitude and service - not that Jet is a super duper service provider, but still.... In any case, this takeover syndrome we can expect more in the coming years to contain competion on same routes and cheaper fares..

Its good news but again the question is unanswered what will happen to the employees of Air Sahara. There is no clarity about that and no body is discussing it. Today i also read that maybe due to govt. regulatin of ground control, sahara and jet will have to leave ground operations for others or reform a new company altogether to bid for ground operations. If they fail then this will result in throwing out their manpower.

Adarsh - even otherwise most of the airlines (corporates) have lower rung employess being supplied by the service providers. Ofcourse, over the time (say 6 months to 1 year) Jet will come out with a scheme to reduce their headcounts.

Maybe not. You should see the attitude put up by Jet Airways these days when they do not value customers anymore. The numbers have swelled for them and also they hardly have competition anymore other than IA. Longing to see Kingfisher and Paramount grow so as to see increased competition. Personally I feel these two airlines offer better service as well as rates.
