So what does this teach us? It tells us to use Rediffmail if you are not concerned about privacy. Let's all use Gmail as personal accounts and Rediffmail for signing up for spam. If the government wants to tap the account, all they'll get is the junk they deserve.
Interesting how Rediff complied without verifying the antecedents of a lower-ranked police officer. I thought under the IT act, only the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police and above can investigate such cases.
